Arta is an ancient town located on the east coast of Mallorca. It's been occupied for over 3,000 years.

Today, visitors come from all over the island to witness the fascinating Bronze Age settlement just outside the town, at Ses Paisses. This spectacular sight is surrounded by an olive grove along with carob and holm oak trees.

The picturesque Santuari de Sant Salvador chapel is located right on top of the hill. It's bleached rooftops spilling down the hillside create quite an impressive sight.

Tuesday is market day in Arta. This is a fun event with some great bargains to be found. The town is particularly lively on Tuesdays.
